Seeking a DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, your responsibilities may include:

  • Establishing project build and test pipelines and infrastructure
  • Maintaining or adding additional build agents and deployment systems
  • Configuring new automated software deployments on local servers and cloud resources
  • Engineering new methods for automated testing of web applications and desktop applications
  • Upgrading and improving CM/CI/CD software and processes to benefit the company as a whole
  • Supporting software teams by creating delivery packages and installers
  • Debugging and remediating issues with DevOps systems and services
  • Implementing security scanning practices into automated pipelines
  • Ensuring that systems, processes, and software are secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Planning for future CI/CD upgrades and enhancements

As a DevOps Engineer, you will provide support across multiple software project teams providing build, deployment, testing, and scanning support to a tight-knit group of developers and engineers. You will quickly become an integral member of the teams as we implement user stories during our weekly iterations to pull functionality threads from the front end to the back end. Your unique background and experience will play directly into the work you are executing each week and you will be continually learning new technologies as you work closely with your teammates.

We understand that candidates may not be able to check the boxes for all desired qualifications. What is most important is that candidates have exceptional problem-solving skills, creative out-of-the-box thinking, and are comfortable in an environment where you will be quickly learning, evaluating, and deploying new technologies.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Active United States Department of Defense Security Clearance or eligibility (U.S. Citizenship) to undergo an associated background investigation.
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent DevOps certifications and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a DevOps engineer or a similar software engineering or system administration role

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience compiling java projects with maven and/or gradle
  • Experience with CMAKE and other compilation environments for C, C++ and other languages
  • Experience managing build pipelines with Bamboo, Bitbucket, GitLab or Jenkins
  • Experience working in Windows, UNIX/Linux, mobile platforms (Android and iOS) and Mac OS X operating systems
  • Experience with Fortify or other static software scanning tools
  • Experience working with Docker or other containerization technologies.
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with administrating deployment platforms and systems
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Extensive experience with scripting languages
  • Willingness to relocate to the greater Boulder, CO area
